Weather Alert

On the map below, the circle over the Gulf of Mexico is for an area of low pressure heading toward Texas.  Development is not expected.  Also, we're tracking Cristobal and a tropical wave over the eastern Caribbean Sea that may become another depression though chances are low.

HEALTH: iPad introduces new hearing aid app

Having trouble hearing?
There's an app for that!
There's a new hearing aid that uses iPhone technology to stream sound to the hearing aid when placed close to someone who speaks too quietly.
Phone calls can also be streamed into the hearing aid, avoiding feedback.
The app can also help find missing hearing aids.
Cindy Mott uses the iPhone hearing aids, and she says she no longer has to draw attention to herself when she has to make an adjustment.

"Everyone's messing with their phones so you can just go on the app turn it up and no one even realizes what you're doing and you're turning your hearing aids up."

The cost of the iPhone hearing aid is roughly the same as other high end models, at about 3,000 dollars.
