HEALTH: Agriculture Dept allows schools to delay bringing in whole grain foods this year
The Agriculture Department will allow some schools to delay adding more whole grain foods to meals this year.
That's in response to criticism from school nutrition officials and congress.
The USDA says schools can put the requirement off for two years if they can prove they've had "Significant Challenges."
To meet the requirement, all grain products in schools must be whole-grain rich, or more than half whole grain. For more health information
