    From the Florida Department of Health Escambia County: Effective immediately, in response to air quality monitoring, the FDOH-Escambia is issuing a health alert for the area surrounding the Wedgewood Community Center and the Rolling Hill Construction and Demolition Landfill in Escambia County, Florida.

Tropical Depression 2 has formed over the Atlantic Ocean. The system is moving west and is headed to the Caribbean Sea. This system is not forecast to become much stronger and could become non-tropical by Thursday.

Crestview Police department asks for help in getting another K-9 Unit

The Crestview Police Department are asking for help getting another K-9 unit after their's was disbanded last year.
They've started a fund drive to help raise 30,000 dollars to buy two trained German Shepard police dogs.
The Crestview Police Department currently borrows a K-9 unit from the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Department, or the state Department of Corrections.
The borrowed units are not always available when the Crestview Police want to use them.
Last year the two Crestview Police Dogs, Rex and Edo, were forced into retirement because of health issues.
Rex passed away last month.
