US aircraft carrier moves closer to Iraq

The US is moving an Aircraft Carrier closer to Iraq.
But President Obama says this doesn't mean US troops are getting involved in the fighting on the ground.

"We will not be sending US troops back into combat in Iraq, but I have asked my national security team to prepare a range of other options that could help support Iraq security forces.
The USS George H.W. Bush Aircraft Carrier is expected to be moved to the Persian Gulf to provide the US with options for possible airstrikes.
But no final decision on airstrikes has been made.
Fighters from the "Islamic State in Iraq and Syria," or ISIS, have seized Iraq's second largest city of Mosul -- and continue to advance on Baghdad.
Videos posted on youtube by the ISIS militants show thousands of Iraqi soldiers simply surrendering leaving their American supplied weapons and vehicles behind.

This poses a danger to Iraq and its people, and given the nature of these terrorists, it could pose a threat eventually to American interests as well.
The president emphasized even with some type of US assistance, the Iraqis have to help themselves too.
