World's largest ice cream scoop
Cedarburg, WI -- An ice cream company in Wisconsin attempted to make the world's largest ice cream scoop in celebration of its 100th anniversary.
Kemps Dairy used more than 700 containers of strawberry ice cream to mold together the scoop.
The giant scoop was stored in a refrigerator truck. When they brought it out, the sun started melting the ice cream.
A representative from Guinness World Records was there to judge.
"As it was confidently placed on the scales, we were able to prove that it weighed more than 3,010 pounds. It looked like a scoop of ice cream. It tasted like a scoop of ice cream, and in fact the world's largest scoop of ice cream."
It's a new world record -- topping the previous record by a whopping 2,770 pounds.
