NFL Players host Pine Forest High Football Camp

PENSACOLA, Fla.  For the second straight summer, NFL players George Selvie and Mike Johnson returned to Pine Forest High school to host their football camp. Its in conjunction with athletes for charity.

More than 250 signed up for the free camp.

Johnson and Selvie are two of five Pine Forest High grads that played for the NFL last year.  They say coming back to host the event was a natural way to give back.

Selvies career is a good lesson for the youngsters.  Perseverance was a lesson shared.  Selvie spent one year with the rams then bounced from Carolina, to Jacksonville to Tampa Bay before hooking up with Dallas last season.

Selvie started all 16 games at defensive end last season and thrived.
Johnson has a different challenge.

He lost last season to a severely broken ankle.

Hes taking part in Falcons OTA and is trying to earn a spot on the team next month.  His versatility and intelligence make him a valuable offensive lineman if his injury doesnt him back.
