Perdido Key Visitor Information Center will be on "Tanked"

A local Visitor's Information Center will get a makeover from Animal Planet's TV series "Tanked" today.

Filming began today in Perdido Key for an episode for "Tanked" that will air this fall.
The specialized aquarium build will be installing their second tank in the area over the next couple days---this time it's a four hundred gallon salt water aquarium.

Last year, "Blues Angel Music" in Pensacola was also featured on an episode of "Tanked."

The tank in Perdido Key will showcase fish and plants that are only native to the Gulf of Mexico.

This is the first time the acrylic tank manufacturing company has built an aquarium for a Visitor's Center.

"Doing these over the top pieces are very difficult. This is a pirate ship. Tell them about it."

"Yeah, it's pretty intricate this is an actual full 14 foot scaled pirate ship that has cannons. I mean this thing is pretty amazing."

"When everybody sees it, not only children, but moms, grandpas, grandmas, they're going to love it."

The Perdido Key Chamber is paying for the tank through a BP grant.
The chamber will reveal the tank tomorrow evening to the public.
