Arguement over missing dog turns into attempted murder

In Walton County, an argument over a missing dog leads to a person shot with a shotgun.

Walton County Deputies were called to a home on Seymore drive in Ponce De Leon.
Investigators say James Davis of Walton County shot Joseph Justice with a shotgun.

Deputies say Davis went to the home and started arguing with a woman over his missing dog.
Justice and Davis struggled over the gun, that is when justice was shot.

After he was shot, Justice hit Davis several times in the head with a hammer until Davis dropped the shotgun.
Davis was charged with attempted murder and other charges.
