3rd annual fly-in and open house for charity at Ferguson airport
Hundreds of people went to the 3rd annual fly-in and open house at Ferguson Airport this weekend.
They offered plane and helicopter rides to people who donated to a charity.
The charity allows local high school students a chance to learn to fly.
People waited for hours to get on their favorite aircraft.
For some it was their first time flying.
After a young woman's first time in an airplane at the fly-in three years ago, she was inspired to pursue a career in aerospace.
"Let her fly and that was it. That was it right there. She loved it. She went back to the house, got her computer, starting looking up courses in aerospace, made a decision to go the Mississippi State and major in Aerospace Engineering."
The event started at 10am and pilots kept going until everyone had their chance to fly.
