State to pay Escambia County at least 3.2 million in Ivan money owed

We're expecting Escambia County to get some money from the Florida Division of Emergency Management for Hurricane Ivan.

The hurricane caused 226-million dollars in damages in September 2004.
Last month, commission chair Lumon May wrote a letter to Governor Rick Scott.
It said the state still owes the county more than four-million dollars in disaster relief from that storm.

The state has now responded saying a payment of at *least three-point two million will be sent within the next week.
