Kids in Santa Rosa will see longer school days next year

Schools in the Santa Rosa School District will be seeing a longer school day next year.

The school day will only be extended by 6 minutes.
That's a thirty minute longer school week.
Santa Rosa District School administrators say that they are lengthening the school day to add additional instructional time for teachers to focus on developing a stricter curriculum.
Also, the extra 30 minutes per week will provide flexibility for schools to make up time for missed days because of severe weather.
