General Motors ignition recall compensation

Next week, we should know who will be compensated for General Motors ignition switch recall and how much they will receive.

A GM consultant is expected to present his compensation plan Monday morning (June 30, 2014.)

The consultant devised similar plans for victims of the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the Virginia Tech massacre.

It took GM more than a decade to recall the 2.6 million vehicles equipped with the faulty ignition switch.

GM has linked the ignition issue to 13 deaths and 54 accidents.
