Milton City Council meets to vote on new judicial building

The Milton City Council is meeting to vote on building a new county judicial center in downtown Milton.

The current courthouse is in Milton, but it needs to be replaced.
Two locations have been chosen for consideration for the new courthouse, but they are both outside the city limits.

If the city council approves the resolution they will push for the county to consider building the courthouse on Milton's Downtown Riverwalk.

The mayor of Milton  says he supports the resolution.
Voters will decide this fall on a preferred location, and whether to approve a local option sales tax to pay for construction.
