YOUR 3 CENTS: Target is asking its shoppers to not bring guns into its stores

Target is asking its shoppers to not bring guns into its stores.                 The company posted a notice on its website this week saying, "... starting today we... respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to target - even in communities where it is permitted by law."                 The company says it respects the protected rights of everyone involved, but wants to create an atmosphere that is safe and inviting for guests and employees.                 The retailer says guns in its stores are "at odds" with a family atmosphere..                 Gun rights advocates have staged protests recently by openly bringing weapons into some Target stores, demonstrating their rights to openly carry firearms in public.                 A month ago, the group "Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America" launched a petition asking Target to prevent customers from carrying firearms in its stores.                 The petition collected about 400-thousand signatures.                   Do you believe companies should have the right to forbid guns in their stores?
