Forest crews working to control wildfires at Tarkiln Bayou Preserve

Forest service crews are still watching the wildfire that started yesterday at the Tarkiln Bayou Preserve.
They took GPS readings along the edges of the fire to determine it burned 261 acres.

They spent part of the day removing unburned brush within the fire lines to help get it under control.
The fire was most likely started by lightning.
