Shark attack at California beach

A man was bitten multiple times by a shark at a popular California  beach today.
The attack happened when a group of long-distance swimmers  passed a pier where a fisherman was struggling to reel in the 7-foot great white shark for more than half an hour.
The shark bit a swimmer's upper torso then released him.
The man was taken to the hospital and is now in stable condition.
Sightings of juvenile great white sharks are becoming more and more common at California's Manhattan Beach.
But officials say these juvenile great whites are rarely aggressive.
This time the shark may have been agitated by the line and the battle with the fisherman.
