Florida Surpreme Court rejects execution appeal
The Florida Supreme court rejects an appeal from a death row inmate claiming that drugs used in the execution process would cause him extreme pain.
Inmate Eddie Davis said he suffers from a medical condition.
He said that if one of the drugs in the execution process is used, it would cause him extreme stomach pain, nausea, and vomiting.
A medical expert testified that it was highly unlikely the symptoms would occur before the execution was complete.
Davis is scheduled to die Thursday for the 1994 murder of 11-year-old Kimberly Waters.
Davis was convicted of breaking into his ex-girlfriends home and kidnapping, raping and murdering the pre-teen girl.
