Three locations identified for new judicial center

Pea Ridge - 22.56 acres on Hwy. 90. Currently under contract, the county has the right to cancel the contract with escrow refund until Nov. 21 for any reason including not being selected by voters or if a local option sales tax is not approved by voters.

East Milton - property is owned by William H. Byrom and is located on U.S. Hwy. 90 southwest of the Peter Prince Airport. The owner has offered any 15 acres of the 47 acre parcel to the county at no cost.

Current downtown Milton location of 6.63 acres. The plan calls for about seven acres of which the county owns about four acres. Approximately three acres would need to be purchased, and two street sections incorporated into the design.

Voters will be able to select their location preference and if they support a local option sales tax to fund a new courthouse on the November general election ballot. Information on the proposed new judicial center is available online at www.santarosa.fl.gov.
