Nathan's Annual Hot Dog Contest 2014 champ

Nothing really screams Fourth of July like Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest, now in it's 99th year.
17 men and 13 women competed in front of a crowd of about 30,000 spectators and a T.V. audience of about 1 million.
It's as American as apple pie.

The heavyweight champion of the world, Joey Chestnut entered the ring at the Nathans annual gastronomic celebration of over indulgence, ready to take on all comers.

And they went at it. For a while, it seemed like Chestnut might go down to newcomer Matt Stoney, who did a little shimmy and shake to force the dogs down. And half way through, it was working.

And then, Chestnut started to fall back...

We've got four minutes left and Matt Stoney is ahead.

Amazing doesn't come close. They surged through the thirty hot dog level, didn't seem fazed by forty, and as Stoney dipped and dripped and downed those dogs., the heart, and probably heartburn of a champion came through.

Chestnut ate 61 hot dogs, and won by 2

Chestnut said he felt fine after all those hot dogs, but, I'm starting to get a little tired, take a nap
