Expanded trolley service for Blue Angels air show this weekend
Traffic is going to be heavy and parking is going to be difficult this weekend at Pensacola Beach. But there is one way you may be able to travel with ease.
More than 100 thousand people will be here to watch the Blue Angels Air Show so what's the best way for you to get to Casino Beach? "We park and we walk" says Rebecca Montgomery who is visiting from Georgia. But if you aren't one that likes walking several miles, there will be expanded trolley service on both Friday and Saturday. "We're having two trolleys and a small bus starting at 7 am to 6 o'clock at night" says Buck Lee the Executive Director of the Santa Rosa Island Authority. The best part about the service is it's free. There are also two large parking lots where you can catch the trolleys."We have two parking lots. One at Park West and Park East " says Buck Lee. Longtime Air Show-goers says you'll want to get your spot and be situated by the late morning. They say this years show is going to be good. "I think it's extra special because we were here last year. The air show was good but I'm looking forward to the Blue Angels flying" says Cindy Marshall who is visiting from Georgia. "You're going to get goosebumps all over you" says Buck Lee. Here's one last tip for you, because so many people will be using the trolley system, the wait times will vary so: the Trolley Tracking App will do you no good this weekend. You're just going to have to pack your patience.
