Baby survives miscarriage and abortion pill

Six weeks into her pregnancy, Michelle Hui of Dublin, Ireland received the worst news: she was having a miscarriage. In an effort for the mom to avoid what could be a life-threatening infection, doctors gave her two abortion pills to ensure everything passed out of her body.

Released from the hospital the next day, Hui was told to take a pregnancy test afterwards to ensure no dangerous blood clots remained. That's when the unthinkable happened. Hui took the test and it came back positive. But instead of finding blood clots, doctors found a heartbeat.

It turns out Hui was pregnant with twins and although one child had passed, the other was alive and well. According to an interview with the Mirror, Hui says doctors missed the scan because "with all the blood and clots it must have created shadows so they couldn't see her."

Doctors say baby Megan, now 18-months-old is a medical miracle and they have never heard of a child surviving both a miscarriage and abortion. Hui says "I've been written about in medical journals, and the doctor said that in all his 25 years he has never come across or heard of anything like this."
