NASCAR Driver Tony Stewart returns to driving

NASCAR Driver Tony Stewart will return to the track this weekend, three weeks after hitting and killing a fellow driver.

Stewart has been out since the August 9th crash that killed Kevin Ward Junior at a dirt track in New York State.

Stewarts car - hit Ward's car sending it into the wall.
Ward got out of his wrecked car and walked onto the track apparently trying to confront Stewart.

But Stewart's car hit and killed Ward.
Stewart says he hasn't raced since the tragedy out of respect for Ward's family and to cope in his own way.

"It's given me time to think about life and how easy it is to take it for granted."
"This has been one of the toughest tragedies I've ever had to deal with."

NASCAR's president says they will waive the rules and will allow Stewart the chance to qualify for the championship series despite missing the past three races.

The investigation into Ward's death is ongoing.
