Ebola vaccine ready for human testing

BETHESDA, MD --Human trials of an experimental Ebola vaccine will begin next week at the national institutes of health.

The FDA gave researchers the go ahead after an expedited review of the vaccine.

It will first be given to three healthy volunteers to see if they have any adverse effects.

Then it will be given to a small group of people ages 18 to 50 to see if it produces a strong immune response to the virus.

Doctors say the vaccine was first given to chimpanzees and it did well.
