This is the 40th year for WEAR's Communities Caring At Christmas program.

For 32 of those year, Sandy Sansing's family and auto dealerships have been the major corporate sponsor.

More than two decades ago, Sandy recruited that amazing team of elves at Gulf Power Company. The employees give of their time and resources; even personally buying and putting together hundreds of bicycles.

The Gulf Power employees at Plant Crist get the giving teed up with their annual golf tournament that netted more than 26 thousand dollars this year for Communities Caring.

Prosser and Katie-John Crow are following mom and dad's lead as young donors and volunteers ...

Resident history-teller John Appleyard and the Appleyard Family Foundation helped make memorable stories for a lot of children again this year.

Mark Faulkner and the staff of Baptist Health Care reached out because they, too, touch the lives of many of the same children we serve.

We're grateful for the generous donation from one of Pensacola's landmark businesses, Brownsville Ornamental Iron Works.

NFL Hall of famer Derrick Brooks continues to be a champion for children; honoring his mother's memory and never forgetting about home.

We were blessed with a new partner this year as the staff from Engineered Cooling Services made a major donation and members of their team also lent a hand on the big distribution weekend.

Our U S Military Vets Motorcycle Club rolled up in a big way with not one, but two poker runs this year. It's part of their pledge to continue to serve.

The employees of the Community Health Northwest Florida head inner-office fundraiser. The most popular was their blue jeans days.

Our train enthusiasts at The Pensacola Model Railroad Club are still keeping a holiday tradition alive and had the young ones riding the rails again.

Bruce Miller and his team from the Public Defenders office rode in with trucks loaded with bicycles. Their giving is now an office tradition and one that grows every year.

The Sertoma Club of Gulf Breeze exceeded expectations with their annual Fishing Rodeo and they passed those blessings on to organizations like Communities Caring.

Pensacola Little Theatre and Director Roxy Alyssa Smith treated their audiences to The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and the guests returned the favor by bringing gifts for children on our list.

A heartfelt thank you to my supportive co-workers Bob Solarski and Allen Strum, David Hawkins at Joe Morris & Son Funeral Home,The Sons of Italy, Tina Barker, Community Health Northwest Florida, the youth clubs at NAS Pensacola and the Small Business Development Center at UWF.
