Miller spent his entire political career advocating for veterans. He served as the Chairman of Veteran Affairs before deciding not to seek re-election after more than 16 years at the helm.

Northwest Florida is home to many top military bases.

LIST OF NOMINEES (According to Military Times):

  • Robert Wilkie
  • Pete Hegseth

  • Rick Perry

Channel 3 News has reached to Miller for comment. We also reached out to find out when the President will make his final decision. We were told we must wait until the final appointment is made.

Right now, Robert Wilkie, also a nominee, is serving as acting VA Secretary following David Shulkin’s firing.
