ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- One person was found shot dead outside the Moorings apartment complex in Escambia County Saturday night.

The Escambia County Sheriff's office says a shooting took place at the Moorings Apartments on Old Spanish Trail and Olive roads at around 8:50 p.m.

Upon arrival, deputies found the victim shot dead. There were no other reported injuries.

The sheriff's office is still trying to determine how the shooting happened.

There are currently no named suspects at this time.
