Sheriff: 2 dead in murder-suicide at Escambia County apartment complex

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Two people are dead following a murder-suicide at an apartment complex in Escambia County Monday afternoon.

Escambia County deputies were dispatched to Stoddert Place Apartments on Tiger Lily Drive around 4:20 p.m.

Escambia County Sheriff Chip Simmons says a man shot and killed a woman during an argument before turning the gun on himself.

Sheriff Simmons added witnesses were present, including an infant child.

An investigation is ongoing.
