A dozen people ranging in age from 16 to 66 are in custody after multiple search warrants were executed early Friday morning in Fort Walton Beach.

The search warrant happened on Hickory Street off Lovejoy Road.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office, the operation began back in April along with members of the Fort Walton Beach and Crestview Police Departments.

During the four-month-long investigation, the sheriff’s office said several narcotics, including heroin, cocaine, marijuana, methamphetamine, and Oxycodone were being sold to people associated with two addresses in the 200 block of Hickory Street.

Friday morning, authorities executed the search warrants at those locations and made 12 arrests.

Inside one of the homes, deputies found Oxycodone, cocaine, meth, heroin, packaging materials, and a Smith & Wesson .380.

The sheriff’s office said authorities also found two-way communication devices and security camera equipment linking the two homes, indicating the occupants of the homes were coordinating to distribute narcotics.

At the second home, deputies had to force their way inside, the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities found cocaine and marijuana packaged for distribution floating in the toilet. They also found cash, packaging materials, paraphernalia, and a firearm, the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office has not released the names of the dozen suspects. They are in the process of compiling the individual arrest reports.
