22-year-old man arrested for fatal shooting near O'Riley's Uptown in Pensacola

PENSACOLA, Fla. -- A 22-year-old man was arrested in Georgia for the fatal shooting nearO'Riley's Uptown Tavern in Pensacola last week.

Police sayTrevoir Vanderhall Jr. was taken into custody Thursday nightin Coweta County, Georgia. He's charged in Escambia County with first-degree premeditated homicide.

The fatal shooting took place around 2 a.m. on July 20 on Creighton Road, leaving19-year-old Marlon Jarvis dead.

"Pensacola Police investigators developed information on the suspect early in the investigation and issued a warrant for his arrest," police say in a release.

Law enforcement stoppedVanderhall for speeding Thursday night in Coweta County, Georgia. The officer ran a routine check on Vanderall and discovered he was wanted for homicide in Pensacola. He was then taken into custody without incident.

Vanderhall is currently being held in Georgia with no bond pending extradition back to Pensacola. His mugshot has not yet been made available.

WEAR News reported in December 2018 thatVanderhall was arrested for a shooting at Forest Creek Apartments. He was 17-years-old at the time.
