A sibling rivalry over the use of the bathroom turns ugly.

Escambia County Sheriff's Office responded to a call on Monday, August 6 at the 2600 block of Truman Avenue in reference to a domestic disturbance.

According to the report, 23-year-old Rick Maurice Gratton punched his sister in the face repeatedly with his fist during an argument over the bathroom.

Deputies stated when they arrived on the scene, the victim was standing in the front door holding a napkin to her lip. The arrest reported described the victim's face as swollen with bumps across her forehead and a bloody nose.

Within the arrest report, the victim stated she was in the shower for approximately 15 minutes before her brother, Gratton arrived home. Gratton then told his sister to get out of the bathroom once she was out they began to argue.

The victim stated she and brother reside in the household with their mother and when Gratton continued to argue with her she advised him to leave her alone or she would call the police, says the report.

Gratton's sister told deputies in her statement, her brother punched her in her left eye , nose and forehead striking her several times with his fist. Gratton then left the house riding on a bicycle with wearing white pants and no shirt.

When ECSO arrived to the home Gratton whereabouts were unknown at the time.

Gratton was arrested and charged with a felony for domestic violence.
