Woman dead in attempted murder-suicide in Escambia County

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — A 39-year-old woman was shot in Escambia County in a murder attempted suicide Sunday night according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Offices spokesperson.

The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. at the 800 block of Grandview Street and Mobile Highway.

The 42-year-old man shot the woman and himself. He was sent to the hospital. His condition is unknown at this time, according to the Escambia County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities said this shooting appears to be domestic.

ECSO has not released the names of the victims.
