SHALIMAR, Fla. — The Air Force Enlisted Village will break ground next week for Bob Hope Village 6 in Shalimar.
Administrators say the new area will include 63 apartments and a club house.
The Air Force Enlisted Village is a non-profit organization that provides housing for surviving spouses of enlisted airman and couples including at least one retired enlisted member of the U.S. military. The community is also open to the mothers of active duty and retired enlisted airmen. Detailed information on eligibility is available on their website.
Bob Hope Village gives active and independent seniors the transportation, fitness services, and social events they need to stay active.
The community also includes Hawthorn House, an assisted living and memory support residence.
