ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- An arrest report reveals new details about last week's domestic violence murder of an Escambia County woman.

Darryl Jerome Walker, 36, was arrested last Friday in Panama City for the murder of his 35-year-old wife, Sheena Levine, at an Escambia County apartment complex. Walker was booked into Escambia County Jail Tuesday afternoon on no bond.

The incident took place last Wednesday morningat an apartment complex on Meadson Road.

According to the arrest report WEAR News received Wednesday morning, a witness told deputies they received a call from Walker around 5 a.m. saying "he f----- up" and to come to the apartment.

The report states Walker kept saying "she grabbed the gun."

Upon arrival to the apartment complex, Walker let the witness and another person into the room, where they found Levine laying on her side by the bathroom door covered in blood with no pulse, according to the report. Walker was also covered in blood.

The report states Walker then grabbed a gun that was near his wife's body, said "baby, I gotta go. I can't go back to jail," and left the residence.

The witness observed a shell casing in the bathroom, according to the report, before calling deputies to the scene.

The Escambia County Sheriff's Office said multiple agencies assisted with Walker's arrest in Panama City last Friday after two days on the run.

Walker is charged with homicide and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.

According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Walker was released from prison in May 2022 after serving four years for child neglect, weapon charges and more. Before that, he served over a year in prison for aggravated battery against a pregnant victim.

Jail records show Walker has been arrested 10 times in Escambia County since 2009.
