17-year-old girl dies following Escambia County shooting; 2 teens wanted for questioning

UPDATE - WEDNESDAY

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Zane Cook, 19, has been located by deputies.

He was one of three teens wanted for questioning in the case.

Deputies are still trying to locate 16-year-old Glen Allen Janes III and 18-year-old Michael Shawn Fulater.

UPDATE - TUESDAY

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Escambia County deputies are now investigating Monday afternoon's shooting as a homicide after the 17-year-old girl died from her injuries.

The sheriff's office confirmed the homicide investigation Tuesday morning. Sheriff Chip Simmons confirmed Tuesday afternoon that the victim is a 17-year-old girl.

The shooting happened around 12:45 p.m. Monday in the4500-block of Montclair Road.

Deputies say three teens remain wanted for questioning:

  • 16-year-old Glen Allen Janes III
  • 18-year-old Michael Shawn Fulater
  • 19-year-old Zane Cole Cook

ORIGINAL STORY - MONDAY

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- An investigation is ongoing after a woman was injured in a shooting Monday afternoon in Escambia County.

It happened on the 4500-block of Montclair Road near Roanne Lane around 12:45 p.m.

Deputies say these three teens are wanted for questioning only:

  • 16-year-old Glen Allen Jane III
  • 18-year-old Michael Shawn Fulater
  • 19-year-old Zane Cole Cook
