Chilly Days and Very Cold Nights

Southeast is NOT escaping the cold weather

Northwest Florida is certainly feeling the effects of the Arctic front that moved through on Friday!

Even though temperatures bottomed out in the 20s for most spots on Sunday morning, it felt like the teens for several hours.

Sunny skies are on tap for Sunday with highs topping out in the upper 40s to lower 50s.

Northwest Florida will see temperatures ranging from the mid to upper 20s for inland areas and low to mid 30s for coastal areas Sunday night and into Monday morning. Please take precautions to protect people, pets, plants, and even your pipes.

Temperatures will warm into mid-50s on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday before another Arctic front moves in.

With the aforementioned Arctic front, Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama could POSSIBLY see a wintry mix of frozen precipitation and light snow. Just enough moisture may be present to lead to this, but no accumulation would be expected, if this should happen. Models are varying on this possibility, so be sure to stay tuned each day as we gather more detail. The ECMWF is showing a light wintry mix, whereas the GFS is showing that not enough moisture will be present.
