UPDATE: FHP identifies Crestview man who died in Walton County crash

The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) has released the name of a Crestview man who died Friday in a Walton County auto crash.

FHP has identified the man as Blair Edward Fisher, 57, of Crestview.


A Crestview man suffered fatal injuries during a crash in Walton County on Friday morning.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) press release, on Friday, Dec. 29th at approximately 7:04 a.m., a 57-year-old man was driving north on Hinote Rd. in an unincorporated area of Walton County.

The driver failed to maintain control of the vehicle while negotiating a curve and traveled off the roadway and onto the grass shoulder, where the driver and vehicle then collided into a tree.

The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The name of the driver has not yet been released by FHP pending next of kin notification being made to the family of the driver.

FHP is still investigating the crash at this time. Channel 3 News will update this story with more information as it is made available.
