DESTIN, Fla. — Workers with the City of Destin's public services department worked on Mountain Drive, behind Taco Bell, on Wednesday.
They were spreading sand in the area where cooking oil spilled over the weekend.
A city spokesperson said the oil was contained to the parking lot, but car tires tracked some of it onto neighboring streets.
Taco Bell had crews out Tuesday using pressure washers and Dawn dish soap to cut the grease.
Wednesday, the public services workers spread sand on Mountain Drive to provide extra traction.
