UPDATED STORY:

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- The Escambia County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man who they believe fatally shot his wife in Escambia County Wednesday morning.

According to deputies, it appears 36-year-old Darryl Jerome Walker shot his 35-year-old wife at anapartment complex on Meadson Road around 5:30 a.m. -- then left the scene.

Investigators say Walker is now wanted for Homicide.

The sheriff's office says Walkerfled in a black 2020 Hyundai Veloster with Florida tag #BG10PN. He is considered armed and dangerous.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- A death investigation is underway after a woman was found fatally shot in Escambia County early Wednesday morning.

The sheriff's office says the woman was found at an apartment complex on Meadson Road around 5:35 a.m. in the Innerarity area.
