Death sentence upheld in Santa Rosa first degree murder sentencing
The Florida Supreme Court upheld the death sentence for the killer of a Santa Rosa County teenager.
Jeremiah Rodgers shot 18-year-old Jennifer Robinson in 1998 and mutilated her body.
He was convicted of first-degree murder and sentenced to death.
Rodgers appealed the sentence and cited several issues, including the refusal of the trial court to throw out his guilty plea.
However, the Justices ruled against him, upholding both his conviction and his death sentence.
