Distracted driving simulator comes to Pensacola State College

A tour showing the dangers of distracted and impaired driving made a stop in Pensacola on Tuesday.

The Arrive Alive Tour set up a simulator at Pensacola State College (PSC).

It allows participants to experience the potential consequences of texting and driving and driving under the influence.

"We're hoping they'll learn that this can have a big impact and be aware of what might happen to them if they make this decision to drink or text while driving," explained PSC Director of Student Conduct Lynsey Listau.

The simulation was a part of the college's campus safety day.

Other agencies, including the Florida Highway Patrol, Pensacola Police, Escambia County EMS, and Pensacola Fire Department, were also on campus for the event.
