A Pensacola man may face DUI charges after a fiery crash left four children seriously injured on Friday night.

According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), immediately before the crash on Friday, Nov. 10th, witnesses advised law enforcement that a vehicle driven by Jeffrey Scott Touzet, 47, of Pensacola was driving erratically at high speed and passing cars on the bridge in a no-pass zone.

At 10:30 p.m., Touzet was traveling north on Perdido Key Drive when he entered the left turn lane and took an immediate right turn onto Gulf Beach Highway.

Touzet's vehicle ran off the road, crashed head-on into a traffic control pole, and caught fire.

Touzet and four passengers, Irielle Touzet, 14, Raeliana Touzet, 12, Daniel Touzet, 9, Bethany Touzet, 7, were able to exit the vehicle and were transported to Sacred Heart Hospital for serious injuries they sustained during the crash.

Touzet was suspected by FHP of being under the influence at the time of the crash.

Charges of DUI with serious bodily injuries, DUI involving minors under 18, and child neglect are pending the result of a warrant blood draw.
