ECSO: Pensacola woman charged for biting student's shoulder
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
A Pensacola woman has been accused of child abuse after a student was found with a bite mark on his shoulder.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office said 34-year-old Casey Linette Burt punched and bit the victim during an argument on Monday night over headphones and the victim's cellphone.
Deputies were called to Escambia High School on Tuesday after the victim complained to the school nurse about his injuries.
Burt was interviewed by the sheriff's office. Her arrest report said that Burt first denied any sort of physical violence, but "changed her account of her version of the incident to self-defense."
Burt has been charged with cruelty towards a child.
