ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) — We're learning more about a group of students that left Ransom Middle during school Tuesday.
The students skipped class and left campus.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) says two of the students had weapons in their book bags when they were found.
A school official tells us pocket knives were the only weapons found.
Investigators also found a social media post that said "they won't see it coming and would see it on the news."
Some of the students could face criminal charges.
According to ECSO, six students left campus and proceeded to text other students about and alleged suicide pact or an alleged school attack.
Deputies found the students in a wooded area near the school with the help of two k-9's.
