The Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office said a man wanted by state troopers after fleeing authorities has been captured.

Several agencies were searching for a man in Okaloosa County following a Monday afternoon vehicle crash. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said it happened around 3:45 p.m. at General Robert M. Bond Boulevard and State Road 85 near Eglin Air Force Base.

The crash involved a rollover and injuries, state troopers said.

FHP said the driver fled the scene and ran into a wooded area.

The man, who has not been identified, was found in bushes north of Poquito near the intersection with Lewis Turner Boulevard. He was taken into custody without further incident.

State troopers said the driver was possibly armed.

Two people were in the car, but troopers said only the driver is being sought.
