FHP: Car rear ends school bus in front of Northview High School


One person was injured after state troopers said a car rear-ended a school bus in Escambia County Monday morning.

The collision happened at 8:50 p.m. on Highway 4 at the entrance of Northview High School.

The Florida Highway Patrol said there were a dozen students on the bus at the time of the collision, but no one on the bus was injured.

The driver of the Monte Carlo, 18-year-old Jakeldria Brown, was taken to an area hospital for minor injuries. State troopers say Brown was ticketed for careless driving.

State troopers are continuing to investigate the wreck.
