Frigid temperatures continue in Northwest Florida and South Alabama

Hard Freeze Warning in effect through Friday morning. A Hard Freeze is expected Wednesday night and Thursday night.

We've made it to the middle of the week and the Arctic air is still here! If you're not a fan of the cold, you won't like this next sentence. We have several more very cold nights and mornings and chilly days on tap.

The Hard Freeze Warning for Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama has been extended through Friday morning.

Overnight temperatures are forecast to drop into the teens and lower 20s Wednesday night and lower 20s to around 20 degrees on Thursday night.

Also, the National Weather Service of Mobile has issued a Wind Chill Advisory for Northwest Florida and Southwest Alabama from 3 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Thursday morning.

Dangerous wind chills of around 5 to 10 degrees will be possible. Prolonged exposure to the cold can lead to frost bite and hypothermia if precautions aren't taken. Wear multiple layers, hats, scarves, and mittens!

Afternoon highs are forecast to be in the 40s through Friday. By the weekend, temperatures will begin to regulate.
