ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. -- Escambia County deputies are searching for a suspect who fatally shot a man Saturday morning.

According to the sheriff's office, a K-9 unit is searching in the area of Opal Avenue and Topaz Avenue.

Deputies say they can confirm that one male victim was shot and killed on Emerald Avenue around 10:45 a.m. The victim's identity is currently unknown.

At this time, details are limited for this shooting as the investigation is ongoing.
