An international conference on walking held its 14th annual event at the Institute for Human and Machine Cognition (IHMC) in Pensacola.

Dynamic Walking is an interdisciplinary conference for scientists such as biomechanists and roboticists, who have an interest in legged locomotion.

The format promotes open sharing of information, through a variety of talks and presentations, brainstorming sessions, and tutorials.

During the week, the scientists enjoyed the landscape of Pensacola with morning runs.

The conference wraps up Thursday, although several optional workshops are scheduled for Friday.

The first conference was held in 2005 at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Since then, it has moved to several countries, including Germany and Finland. It was last held at the IHMC in Pensacola in 2012.
