ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WEAR) —
A man is facing several charges for allegedly attacking a woman at a Pensacola motel.
According to the arrest report, 53-year-old Guy Matthew Washington got into an argument with the victim over who she was texting at the Palm Court Inn on Pensacola Boulevard on Sunday.
The victim told Escambia County Sheriff's deputies Washington started to hit and bite her. The report added Washington "threw her to the floor and advised her that he was going to kill her."
After the incident, the report said the victim tried to leave, but every time she tried to leave Washington "would attack her."
Washington eventually fell asleep and the victim was able to pack her things and leave. The report said the victim was forced to stay with Washington for about four hours.
The Escambia County Sheriff's Office said the victim had a severely swollen left eye, multiple scratches on her neck and chest area, as well as multiple bruises to her upper chest area.
Washington was arrested and charged with battery, criminal mischief, and false imprisonment. He's being held at the Escambia County Jail on a $9,500 bond.
