Man arrested in Fort Walton Beach shooting

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (WEAR) — A Fort Walton Beach man sought in a shooting on January 28th is now behind bars.

According to the Fort Walton Beach Police Department, 21-year-old Tyrone Prather shot the victim during a fight on McFarlan Avenue.

Authorities say the shooting happened because of an ongoing feud between Prather and the victim.

Witnesses told police Prather pulled out a firearm and shot the victim in the torso.

The victim was treated at Fort Walton Beach Medical Center and has since been released.

Prather is charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. He's been denied bond.
